60 cases, 2 deaths added to COVID toll

There were 60 new cases of COVID-19 in Warren County reported by the Pennsylvania Department of Health on Wednesday.

That is higher than any report since Dec. 22, when over 70 new cases were reported. The county’s single-day record is 78 cases, from Dec. 19.

The county’s total stands at 3,840, with 470 of those being reported this month.

According to the department, there have been 24 cases in the county among children under five years old and 173 among children five to 18 since Aug. 16.

At Warren County School District, there were 22 cases and 151 quarantines due to close contacts as of Tuesday.

The COVID death toll increased to 120 on Wednesday, up three in the last five days.
