A Sugar Grove man is in Warren County jail after a reported high-speed chase early Saturday morning.

Devin W. M. Powell, 30, of Sugar Grove, reportedly struck a police officer who was on foot with his vehicle during the alleged incident and was reportedly going over 100 miles per hour at times during the chase.

Powell is charged with aggravated assault; aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI; fleeing or attempting to elude officer; simple assault; recklessly endangering another person; DUI – controlled substance; possession of drug paraphernalia; accident involving damage to attended vehicle; and numerous summary traffic violations.
