Brief…

Master Gardener

There’s still space in the Master Gardener Basic Training program being held by Penn State Extension.

The Penn State Master Gardener volunteer program supports the outreach mission of Penn State Extension by utilizing unbiased research-based information to educate the public and our communities on best practices in sustainable horticulture and environmental stewardship. It also gives volunteers an opportunity to interact with other gardeners to learn more and share what you already know with members of the community. Training will take place Thursday evenings from 6 to 8:45 p.m. at the Penn State Extension office, 100 Dillon Dr., Youngsville. Classes begin on Oct. 3 and continue until Feb. 27.

The class fee is $200; a payment plan option is available. Applications are being accepted through Sept. 18 and can be found at http://extension.psu.edu/programs/master-gardener/join. Call 814-563-9388 to register or 814-802-1022 if you have other questions.
