Youngsville Life

Photo submitted to Times Observer Armed with string trimmers, rakes, and push mowers, over 30 volunteers came together to help get the Youngsville Cemetery hill under control during the Youngsville Cemetery Work Bee that was held last Saturday. In addition to many local residents, there were even volunteers from Butler County, and Florida, too. “I would like to send a giant thank you to all of those who came to help,” stated Youngsville Borough Manager Lisa Hagberg. “I felt like this project was very overwhelming and we could not possibly get it knocked down in one day. I was so wrong! All the volunteers were so amazing and I don’t have the words to express the amount of gratitude I feel. The saying, ‘Many hands make light work,’ definitely holds true here, although the work was anything but light the many hands made it possible. There is more work that will be done over the next several weeks but what a great launch. Thank you again to everyone who trimmed, mowed, picked up sticks, and provided water and snacks on such a hot day.” The Youngsville Cemetery Association needs board members. If you are interested in sitting on the cemetery board, contact Murray Trask at (814) 563-9030 and leave a message.
