Road closing

Stone Hill Road between Beech and Spring streets in the City of Warren will be closed to through traffic during working hours starting Wednesday and for about two weeks. Residents will be able to park close to their homes. Crews will be replacing a storm sewer line.

LICC meeting

The Local Interagency Coordinating Council (LICC) will meet 3:45 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at the Warren Area Elementary Center (WAEC), 343 E. Fifth Ave., Warren.

Church garage sale

Irvine Presbyterian Church, 905 National Forge Road, will host a multy-family garage sale to benefit Boy Scout Troop 22 from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

WAEC fundraiser

Warren Area Elementary Center Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is holding a ticket sale fundraiser. A total of $15,000 will be awarded. The grand prize is $10,000. Additional prizes are three $1,000 prizes, two $500 prizes and four prizes worth $250. A limit of 300 tickets will be sold. The cost of a ticket is $100 and may be split among buyers. Tickets can be purchased from any WAEC PTO board member, some WAEC staff and at the WAEC office. The prize amount will be adjusted if all tickets are not sold. The drawing will be held after all tickets are sold or no later than June 1.
