A Warren Area High School senior, Cady Ruth Stoever, will take to the Miss Pennsylvania stage in Pittsburgh this June as the 61st Miss Crawford County. The youngest contestant going to the state competition, Ms. Stoever hopes to earn the chance to become the next Miss America by winning Miss Pennsylvania and receiving thousands of dollars in college scholarship money along the way. The General Joseph Warren Chapter DAR held its monthly meeting at Perkins in Warren. The guest speaker was John Eggleston, former commissioner. He provided a talk on many issues, but mainly the evolution of county government from the formation of county governments after the Revolutionary War through today. He stated that Warren became a settlement as a result of land given to many Revolutionary War soldiers as payment for their services.
