Tonight: The Gin Blossoms to perform at Struthers
One of the “quintessential ’90s alternative rock bands” is performing at the Struthers Library Theatre tonight.
The Gin Blossoms will perform at Struthers Library Theatre in Warren at 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6.
“Initially scheduled for April 18 of 2020, the concert had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” Marketing and Education Director Eric Morelli said. “The event was then postponed (again because of COVID-19) two more times.”
“It was difficult to manage the feeling that we were letting our community down by postponing, but we were committed to bringing this incredible band to Warren,” Morelli said.
“It’s hard to believe that the show is finally happening!”
“The Gin Blossoms made a name for themselves with the release of their multi-platinum sophomore album New Miserable Experience in 1992,” he said. “With top 40 hits like ‘Hey, Jealousy’ and ‘Found Out About You,’ the Gin Blossoms cemented their place as one of the quintessential 90s alternative rock bands.”
“Nearly 30 years on, the band is still writing, recording, and performing — with their songs still in regular rotation on the radio,” Morelli said.
“This is a great step forward for our theater,” Executive Director Karen Austin said. “We’re thrilled to be at a place where we can offer quality events — whether it be our celebrity series, films, musicals, or concerts.”
Tickets are $37, $42, and $45 with VIP packages available, and may be purchased by visiting www.strutherslibrarytheatre.org or calling (814) 723-7231.
