November 30: Scandia Vol. Fire dept., 5950 Scandia Road, Russell. Turkey party, doors open at 6 p.m. Party starts at 7 p.m.; $3 donation at the door and prizes are guns, meats, and cash.

November 30: Hometown Christmas Celebration, 4 to 7 p.m. Join R.OA.R, in conjunction with the Pine Grove Lioness Club & the Russell United Methodist Church, for A Hometown Christmas; Larimer Park, Russell UMC.

December 4: December 4, Story Hour, 10:30 a.m., at Youngsville Public Library. December’s Theme is “Winter Wonderment.” Enjoy stories, games, and songs, with a free snack, too! December 8: The Grace United Methodist Church Choir presents its annual Christmas concert: “Because of Love,” 3:40 p.m.
