June 23: Chicken BBQ, noon until sold out, at Youngsville Legion. Benefiting Youngsville Sports Boosters; cost is $10.

June 24: Celebration of PA Ratification of 100th Amendment — Women’s Right to Vote — at the Warren Courthouse (noon). Bring a picnic lunch and lawn chair for a short program with bell ringing, proclamation, local notable women and commissioners speaking.

June 25; July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30: Build It Up, Take It Down, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. — Warren Public Library Children’s Department for all ages. STEM play with large wooden blocks, LEGO, Bee-Bots, Alpha-Bots, Magna Tiles, and other toys.

June 26; July 3, 17, 24, 31: Reading Wednesday, 10:15 a.m. — Warren Public Library Children’s Department for ages 4-8. Stories, songs, games, creative STEM play.

June 27: Irvine-Newbold Tour: 6 p.m., Thursday, June 27. Meet at the Wilder Museum, 51 Erie Avenue, Irvine, PA 16329. Appropriate footwear required. $5 per person. 723-1795 www.warrenhistory.org

June 28: Spaced Out Magic Show, 10:30 a.m., Slater Room, Warren Public Library. Magician Cris Johnson uses humor and interactive fun in this space-themed magic show. Preregistration appreciated. Leave a message for Ms. Susan, 723-4650.

June 28: Salamander Safari, 6:30 p.m., Chapman State Park amphitheater. Find out about salamanders of Pennsylvania; where they live, what they eat, what makes them so unique, and where to find them. Wear shoes you can get wet.

June 30: Rumble at the Fairgrounds — Cruise-In and Treasures & Trinkets Craft Show, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Warren County Fairgrounds.

July 4: The parade theme this year will be “Salute to Warren County.” For a detailed schedule of events, visit www.warrenpajuly4th.com

July 10: Sun Dance Kids Farm, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in front of Warren Public Library on Market Street side. Listen to a story and visit with a plethora of farm animals. Preregistration appreciated. Leave a message for Ms. Susan, 723-4650.

July 11: Dinosaur Train Buddy, 10:30 a.m., Slater Room, Warren Public Library. Meet Buddy from Dinosaur Train, listen to stories, sing songs, take home a free PBS KIDS book. Preregistration appreciated. Leave a message for Ms. Susan, 723-4650.

June 27: Warren Philharmonic presents “Star Spangled Spectacular,” a free outdoor concert by the fountain on Second Ave., 7 p.m.

July 11: “The best chicken BBQ you will ever have!” Tickets will be available for purchase as the event approaches. Advanced purchase recommended. Wilder Museum of Warren County History, 51 Erie Avenue, Irvine.

July 22-26: History Camp — Campers in grades 4-8 are invited for a week of historical fun! Includes tours of the Kinzua Dam, Seneca Iroquois National Museum, Simpler Times Museum, Hearts Content, Erie Maritime Museum and19th century fishing vessel, and more! Limited availability. $99 per camper to Warren County Historical Society, 210 4th Avenue, Warren, PA 16365.

August 4: Historical Society’s Oakland Cemetery Picnic & Tour; pack a picnic lunch and then learn about some of the historic people buried in Warren’s largest cemetery. Oakland Cemetery, 37 Mohawk Avenue, Warren.

August 9: The Warren Festival of the Arts presents “Where Are You Going?” 7:30 p.m. at the Struthers Library Theatre.

September 28: Warren Area Walk to End Alzheimer’s Disease – Saturday, Betts Field, Warren. Registration at 9 a.m., Opening Ceremony and program 10 a.m., Walk stepping off at 10:30 a.m.

October 13: Warren County’s Got Talent, hosted by Women’s Care Center of Warren. For registration/more information, call 814-723-4357.

Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays: Have You Visited the Book Cellar? In the lower level of the Warren Public Library. Selection of books for children, Teens, and adults, plus DVDs & puzzles; priced from $.25- $4. Open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 7:30 p.m., Thursdays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., or whenever you see Sherm the Book Worm flying outside.
