Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays: Have You Visited the Book Cellar? In the lower level of the Warren Public Library. Selection of books for children, Tteens and adults, plus DVDS & puzzles; priced from $.25- $4. Open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 7:30 p.m., Thursdays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., or whenever you see Sherm the Book Worm flying outside.

Oct. 31: 5:30 – 8:00 p.m., Read and Treat, Warren Public Library. Treats for the mind as well as the sweet tooth. Stop by the Children’s Department to get some candy and choose a book to keep. This program is in conjunction with Free books for Kids Town.

Nov. 2: 11 a.m.-noon, Audubon Community Nature Center First Friday Lunch Bunch: Piper Van Ord presents “Allegheny National Forest Adventures” followed by BYO brown bag lunch. Audubon provides coffee and tea. $8, $6 for members. No reservations required.

Nov. 3: 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Audubon Community Nature Center Birds of Prey Day: Eagle Dreams rehabilitator Mark Baker will show his live owls and hawks all day with presentations at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Do a craft, earn a fun patch, take a behind-the-scenes tour of Audubon’s non-releasable Bald Eagle, Liberty. $8 adults, $6 members and children 3-15, free 2 and under. No reservations required.

Nov. 8: 6-8:30 p.m., Audubon Community Nature Center Plant Based Cooking: An Audubon Exclusive: Cornell plant-based nutrition graduate Janeen Beard will mix cooking ideas with nutrition discussions and hands-on learning in her home. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, main courses, dessert and more; go home with new recipes, new ideas and a full tummy! Donation is $40; reservations deadline is Sunday, November 4. Nov. 8: 6:15-8 p.m., Audubon Nature Photography Club: Camera tips and tricks, photo critique, guest speaker. Annual membership is $30; first-time visitors are welcome to participate free of charge.
