The team of Aubrianna Navaroli, Emily Egger, Brooklyn Neureiter, and Jessica Susz finished 4-1 and took second out of seven teams in the Bayso 3-on-3 Soccer Tournament this past weekend in Ellery, N.Y.---After pool play on Saturday and a bye on Sunday, the Kinzua Sluggers 10U travel baseball team finished 1-1 on Sunday for a second-place finish in its bracket of the 24-team 2nd Annual OPLL 10U Tournament in Orchard Park, N.Y. The tournament included base running, around-the-horn infield and home run derby competitions. The Sluggers previously played in tournaments in Saegertown and Erie. ...

Big 30 paradeThe Don Raabe Big 30 Charities Classic Parade will begin to line up at the Best Western Motel location on South Davis St. in Bradford at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, with the parade set to begin at 2:30. The parade will begin on South Davis St. and proceed down Main St., where it will go right on Mechanic St., and then left on Boylston St.,and follow down to the Pitt-Bradford campus. The tailgate party will begin at the Bradford High School parking lot until the gates open at 5. Food will be available for purchase and will benefit the Relay for Life. Lottsville LoopThe Lottsville Loop 5-mile race and 1.5-mile fun run/walk will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12. The race, which is in celebration of Lottsville's Bicentennial, will start at 9:30 a.m. at the Lottsville United Methodist Church. Cost is $15 before Aug. 22 and $20 the day of the race. Proceeds will benefit the Wrightsville and Bear Lake Fire Departments.
