Many Warren County property owners are getting letters with their new tentative property reassessments and next steps in the process. We’re sure many - particularly those who have seen their assessment increase - have questions. Now is the time to ask them. City Council members have approved a smaller, $3 million project to fix the worst of the issues in the Clark Street parking garage. The smaller rehabilitation project won’t be the last time we talk about the Clark Street garage. And, in our opinion, our next talk should include whether the Clark Street garage needs to continue to exist. Our opinion: Once again, legislator proposes a rural policing tax

Rep. Tim Brennan, D-Doylestown, has been a staunch advocate over the past couple of legislative sessions for the idea that too many Pennsylvania townships and boroughs rely on the Pennsylvania State Police rather than a local police force. Our opinion: Generosity here burns bright

The fact that Warren County is losing population has been drummed into our collective heads over the past 30 or 40 years. But the drumbeat of discouraging population news or disappointing economic news doesn’t obscure the fact that even as our population shrinks, our community’s generosity does not.
