Corry man dies in Tidioute Creek Road crash

TRIUMPH TWP. -- An investigation is continuing into the death of a 27-year-old Corry man. According to Pennsylvania State Police on Wednesday, Dereck D. Gesin was traveling eastbound on Tidioute Creek Road around 5:21 a.m. Saturday when he lost control of his vehicle, which began to slide on the road as he was attempting to navigate a slight right-hand curve. The vehicle continued straight through the curve and hit the northside embankment causing the vehicle to overturn and roll several times before coming to rest in the road. Russell man charged with homicide in wake of Monday shooting

A Russell man is behind bars and has been charged with criminal homicide in the wake of a shooting that occurred in Russell on Monday evening. Mark E. Saullo, 62, Russell, was arraigned this morning by District Judge Laura Bauer and bail was denied on the homicide count. Troopers identify the victim as Keith R. Haskins, 55, Russell. A statement from the Pennsylvania State Police indicates that troopers were dispatched shortly before 9:30 p.m. to 2 S. Main St. for a report of a shooting.
