Beulah Boll

Beulah M. Boll, 87, of Clarendon, died Friday, March 9, 2018, at UPMC Hamot Medical Center of Erie, PA. Beulah was born March 17, 1930, in Clarendon, PA. She is the daughter of the late George E and Blanche (Howard) Fox.

Beulah was a lifelong area resident of Clarendon. Beulah was a member of the 1948 graduating class of Warren High School, where she played on the girl’s basketball team. Following high school she was employed at Warren General Hospital as a nurse’s aide. She was employed at various nursing homes around Warren. She also worked in the Group Homes around Warren County. Always an animal lover, she was influential in starting the Warren County Humane Society and she also worked at Fred’s Pet Store. After retiring she started volunteering at the Sheffield United Methodist Church Preschool, where she quickly became “Grandma” to all of the students. She was a member of the Warren Alliance Church.

She is survived by her husband, Walter Boll, whom she married in 1991, in Warren, PA; and six children, Michael Brannon (Sharon), and Cynthia Lindberg, all of Clarendon, Patti Gage, of Warren, Paul Boll (Robin), of Peekskill NY, Danielle Boll Belony (Raguel), of Greenville PA, and Christina Boll, at home; one sister, Susie Frost, also of Clarendon; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Beulah was preceded in death by her first husband, Dan Brannon; a grandson, Jezidiah Brannon; sisters, Gertrude Smetanka, Florence Vandenburg and Verda Johnson; and brothers, Floyd Fox, William Fox, George Fox, and Emory Fox.

Friends will be received at the Warren Alliance Church, 278 Kinzua Road, Warren, on Friday, March 16, from 5 to 8 p.m., and for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held there on Saturday, March 17, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Douglas McCracken, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
