Anita Madigan
Anita Elizabeth Madigan, 69, of Warren, died Sunday, April 9, 2017, at Warren General Hospital. Anita was born July 26, 1947 in Warren, PA. She was the daughter of the late William J. and Majken Elizabeth (Hagstrom) Farnsworth.
Anita was a 1965 graduate of Warren High School; she later obtained a degree in accounting from Jamestown Business College. A woman well ahead of her time, she worked as a First Class Utility Repairman for the United Refinery Company for 35 years, retiring in 2010 following an injury.
Anita had a kind heart, brilliant mind, and a fiery spirit. She loved life, and touched the lives of everyone she met. She loved God, her family, her church and her country. She was a member of Praise! Fellowship and the Warren Christian Women’s Association. She will always be remembered for her generosity, and willing to help anyone in need. She enjoyed reading her Bible, walking, watching sports, and rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
She loved us all unconditionally; a fighter, and our hero, she is survived by one daughter, Michelle Schmader, and fiance, Edward Snider, of Warren, PA; one son, Jason Madigan, of Warren, PA; one sister, Linda Ristau, of Warren, PA; and three brothers, Timothy Farnsworth, Lance Farnsworth, and wife, Liz, and Bradley Farnsworth, all of Warren, PA; six grandchildren, Jenna Schmader, and fianc3, Vincent Bruno, Jamie Madigan Nelson, and husband, Robert, Joshua Schmader, and companion, Jessica Poplow, Joseph Madigan, Sr., Jedidiah Schmader, and companion, Amanda Bindics, and Julia Madigan; 3 greatgrandchildren, Olivia, Kyrstin and Joseph, Jr.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brotherinlaw, Herman “Bud” Ristau.
Friends will be received at the Peterson Blick Funeral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, PA, on Thursday, April 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at which time a memorial service will be held there with Rev. Rick Rohlin, pastor, officiating.
