Marion Klakamp

Mrs. Marion Cook Klakamp, 90 of Aiken, SC, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2017, in Aiken, SC.

Mrs. Klakamp was a native of Warren, Pennsylvania, a former resident of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, having made Aiken her recent home. She was formerly employed by the Northwest Savings in Warren before moving to Florida where she retired from Security First Federal. She and her husband, Henry, also owned and operated a motel in New Smyrna Beach and Laundromats in New York, Pennsylvania and Florida. Mrs. Klakamp was predeceased by her husband, Henry Klakamp; parents, Van and Wilma Cook; three brothers, Wayne Cook, Richard Cook and Ronald Cook.

Marion was a 1945 graduate of Warren High School and enjoyed attending her class reunions. She had many hobbies and activities she enjoyed, sewing, quilting, dancing, karaoke, travelling and was a beginner oil painter. Marion was tough, willful and enjoyed life especially spur of the moment adventures, no matter how trivial. She’ll be dearly missed and her memories will stay strong.

Survivors include three daughters, Judy Peck, Kansas City, MO, Jan (Andy) Cwalina, Aiken, SC and Tina (Doug) Watson, Kingston, TN; two grandchildren, Garrison Frazier and Emily Frazier; an aunt, several nieces, nephews and cousins; many wonderful friends in Florida who were like family to her.

A graveside service will be held at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Russell, PA, on Saturday, March 25, at 10 a.m., with Rev. Marcus Briggs, chaplain, Rouse Home and Warren General Hospital, officiating.
