Fritz E. Shoup
Fritz E. Shoup, 67, passed away at home on February 20, 2017. Fritz was born in Brookville, Pennsylvania to the late William and Elsie (Fuson) Shoup.
Fritz was a lifelong resident of Warren County. Following graduation from Warren Area High School in 1967, he served in the United States Marine Corps. A talented woodworker and craftsman, Fritz was a selfemployed carpenter and contractor. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, motorcycle rides, history, and keeping up with the news. Fritz had a dog by his side through most of his life. Most who knew Fritz in his prime remember a jovial, generous man with a beer in one hand and a Kool in the other. He instilled in his kids a sense of adventure through camping trips, fourwheeler adventures and whitewater rafting in Maine.
He is survived by two daughters, Jody and Jamie Shoup of Lexington, Kentucky, one son, Kyle Shoup and his wife Christine Shoup and grandchildren, Deanna and Everett of Crestview, Florida, his sister, Gail ShoupKlima and her husband George Klima of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and his former partner Jacque Shoup of Warren, Pennsylvania, and his buddy Steven Kibbey of Gambrills, Maryland.
A private memorial will be held for the family. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Paws Along the River Humane Society at 212 Elm Street, Warren, PA 16365.
