Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a long-term fraud case at Warren County Christian School that resulted in the loss of approximately $150,000.
Police said in a Thursday press releases that the station is investigating the theft, which occurred between 2010 and 2018.
"Administrators became aware of the theft in January of 2018," police said. "Funds were taken from numerous different school accounts and directed to personal accounts of the suspect."
The release indicates that there is a "known suspect," but does not identify that suspect or provide any further details regarding the theft.
"I can't release the suspect's name at this time as I have not filed a criminal complaint," Trooper Jeffrey Dahl with the Criminal Investigation Unit out of the Warren barracks told the Times Observer.
He said that an arrest and the filing of the charges could happen "in the near future."
State police added that the investigation continues and that "anyone with additional information or details is asked to contact" the barracks or the Warren County Crime Stoppers.
