Triumph Twp.

Burglary. According to Warren-based state police, sometime between Dec. 1, 2016, and Feb. 24, 1017, someone entered a hunting camp at 635 Gorman Road in Triumph Township and took various items from the camp including a Craftsman 10 horsepower generator, a water pump, and a deer blind. Police ask anyone with information to contact PSP Warren at (814) 728-3600.

Conewango Twp.

Theft. According to Conewango Township police, sometime between Feb. 15 and Feb. 25, someone stole a cement goat lawn decoration from the front of the Ekey’s store in North Warren. The goat, police said, is around three feet tall and weighs more than 100 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Conewango Township police.

Crash. According to Warren-based state police, on Feb. 26 at approximately 7:35 a.m., Matthew Scott, 41, of Warren, was traveling west on Route 6 when he lost control of his 2005 Dodge Dakota SLT on the snow-covered roadway and struck the jersey barrier. Police said that Scott was wearing a seat belt and was uninjured, but that his vehicle was towed from the scene. Scott was charged with driving vehicle at safe speed, according to police.

Brokenstraw Twp.

Possession. According to Warren-based state police, on Feb. 18 at approximately 10:40 a.m., Zachary Frances McLaughlin, 25, of Brokenstraw Twp., was involved in a traffic stop during which he was found to be in possession of Act 64 and Act 64 paraphernalia. Police said that charges were filed through district Justice Todd Woodin’s office.

Sugar Grove

Crash. According to Warren-based state police, on Feb. 22 at approximately 10 p.m., a vehicle of unknown make and model was stopped on Pleasant Street in the northbound lane at its intersection with Route 957 when a buggy driven by Levi Byler, 26, of Sugar Grove, was traveling east on Route 957. As Byler traveled through the intersection of Route 957 and Pleasant Street, the vehicle entered the intersection from a stopped position, according to police, and made initial contact with the right rear wheel and axle of Byler’s buggy. After impact, police said, both vehicles came to final rest with the front of the car facing north and the front of Byler’s buggy facing east. Police report that the driver of the car then fled the scene without stopping to provide the required information. Neither Byler, his passenger Elizabeth, nor three juvenile passengers of the buggy were injured.

Columbus Twp.

Crash. According to Warren-based state police, on Feb. 23 at approximately 10:20 a.m., Jason Unger, 38, of Hammonsburg, Pa., was traveling north on White’s Corners Road approximately .1 mile south of Route 6 when he failed to properly negotiate a right-hand curve in the roadway and traveled north across both lanes and exited the roadway to the west. According to police, Unger then continued to travel north approximately 30 feet before striking an embankment with multiple trees, causing his 2006 Jeep Commander to roll over, coming to final rest on its weeks approximately 70 feet from the point impact with the embankment. Police said that Unger was not injured, and was cited for driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked.

Mead Twp.

Crash. According to Warren-based state police, on Feb. 24, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Tina West, 54, of Sheffield, was traveling west on Route 6 in a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox behind Patti Gage, 53, of Stockton, N.Y., who was driving a 2013 Chevrolet 1500. Police said that Gage came to a complete stop in a line of traffic stopped for a red light but West did not see Gage stop and struck Gage’s vehicle with the front end of hers. Police said that Timothy Johnson, 54, a passenger in Gage’s vehicle, was transported to Warren General Hospital for an injury of unknown severity. No charges were filed, according to police.
