A truck is on its side and a utility pole sheared off after a one-vehicle crash Friday morning just south of Clarendon. According to Pennsylvania State Police, the driver, who was uninjured, apparently fell asleep at the wheel. The vehicle left the road, entered a ditch, traveled about 200 feet, struck the pole, and slid another 40 feet on its side. State police, Clarendon Volunteer Fire Department, EmergyCare, and Glade Township Fire Department responded to the crash. No further details were reported by press time.

Intermittent snow squalls brought near white-out conditions and deteriorating travel conditions to portions of Warren County on Friday afternoon. First responders from Youngsville Fire Department as well as Pennsylvania State Police responded to a multi-vehicle accident on the eastbound lanes of US 6 just before the Route 62 exit in Brokenstraw Township. The accident occurred shortly before 4 p.m. on Friday and traffic heading east on US 6 out of Youngsville was directed to the National Forge Road via the exit at Rouse Ave. just east of Youngsville. Garland VFD controlled traffic at the Rouse Ave. exit while a Pleasant ambulance was also observed on the scene. The roadway was re-opened at about 5 p.m. No additional details were available by press time.
