Youngsville tops Rocky Grove 9-8
On Thursday night, the Youngsville softball team posted a 9-8 win against Rocky Grove.
Kamden Swearingen earned the victory in the circle, striking out six.
Coach Ishman commented, “Great to see them play hard and with confidence through the whole game.”
The Eagles connected for 14 hits, four of which came from Molly Helman, who went 4-for-4.
Taylor Carrington, Zaylee Cressley, and Olivia Goss each went 2-for-3. Carrington drove in two runs while Cressley and Goss each had an RBI.
“We hit the ball well tonight with no strikeouts,” Ishman said. “They put it in play the whole game and that’s what we have been working on, good at bats.”
