Hedman, Jaquay headline wrestling all-stars

Eisenhower was honored with five representatives on the PIAA District 10 Region 3 all-star team released Friday.

Leading the way on the First Team were 138-pound senior Easton Hedman and 152-pound junior Gannon Jaquay.

Eisenhower also placed three wrestlers on the Second Team. Freshman Cole Kellogg was honored at 120 pounds, senior Jacob Williams was represented at 132 pounds and junior Cael Black was named at 215 pounds.

Youngsville senior Collin Clough was named the Second-Team all-star at 145 pounds after an 18-6 season that included seven wins via decision, two via major decision, four via pins and five via forfeit.

Corry junior 215-pound Hayden Linkerhof was named the Region 3 Wrestler of the Year after a 19-6 season that ended with a seventh-place finish at the PIAA Class 2A Championships at the Giant Center in Hershey.

Linkerhof was joined on the First Team by two teammates: senior Lucas Munsee (106 pounds) and junior Xavier Reyda (285 pounds).

Saegertown placed junior Hunter Robison (113 pounds), senior Jaden Reagle (145 pounds) and junior Landon Caldwell (172 pounds) on the First Team while Cochranton was represented by senior Ethan Shoup (120 pounds), junior Jack Martinec (126 pounds) and junior Stephen Martinec (132 pounds). Cambridge Springs senior Colton Smith (160 pounds) and Union City senior Nick Kaday (189 pounds) rounded out the First Team.

Cambridge Springs led the way with three wrestlers named to the Second Team. Freshman Brody Beck was chosen at 113 pounds, sophomore Gunnar Gage at 126 pounds and junior Chase Beck at 138 pounds. Saegertown junior Owen Hershelman (106 pounds) and Porter Brooks (285 pounds); Cochranton freshman Daylend Schlosser (106 pounds) and junior Stetson Boozer (160 pounds); Corry senior Dylan Gourley (172 pounds) and Shawn Proctor (189 pounds); and Union City sophomore Clay Thomas (152 pounds) rounded out the Second Team.
