The Kinzua Sluggers Summer Slam Tournament begins tonight and runs through Sunday.

The Kinzua Sluggers will be hosting the Kinzua Sluggers Summer Slam Tournament this weekend at the Farm Colony Sports Complex in North Warren/Russell.

There will be three age brackets included in the tournament: 9U, 11U and 12U.

The 9U Division will feature the Kinzua Sluggers, Erie Wolfpack, Twin Tier Pride and Jamestown Knights. Play will begin with one game at 6 tonight; three games Saturday at 9 a.m., 10:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.; and Sunday at 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.

The consolation game will be Sunday at 12:30 p.m. with the championship game to follow at 2:15 p.m. All 9U games will be played at Garrett Field.

The 11U Division will be made up of two brackets. In Bracket A will be Outlaw Silver, Clarion and the Kinzua Sluggers. Bracket B will consist of Franklin, St. Marys and Twin Tiers. Play begins Saturday at 8 a.m. and continues every two hours until the final game starts at 6 p.m. On Sunday, bracket play begins with Bracket B’s second-place team taking on Bracket A’s third-place team at 9 a.m. followed by Bracket A’s second-place team taking on Bracket B’s third-place team at 11 a.m.

The winner of Sunday morning’s first game will take on the No. 1 seed from Bracket A at 1 p.m. while the winner of Sunday morning’s second game will take on the No. 1 seed from Bracket B at 3 p.m. The championship game will be at 5 p.m. All 11U games will be played at Hawbaker Field.

The 12U Division will also feature six teams in a two-bracket format. In Bracket A will be the Kinzua Sluggers, Outlaws (Lackey) and Erie Steelheads. Bracket B will consist of the Erie Riptide, Jamestown Knights and Outlaws (Haffey). Play begins tonight at 6 p.m. On Saturday, there will be games starting every two hours from 8:30 a.m. through 4:30 p.m.

On Sunday morning, Bracket B’s second-place team will take on Bracket A’s third-place team at 9 a.m. while Bracket A’s second-place team will take on Bracket B’s third-place team at 11 a.m.
