COCHRANTON – Eisenhower jumped on Cochranton early with three runs in the top of the first inning, but that turned out to be short-lived.

The Lady Cardinals scored eight in the bottom half of the inning en route to a 19-5 win in Region 3 action on Tuesday.

Shelby Kuzminski belted a double for Ike, which also got hits from Jocelyn Courtney, Miranda Garris and Kiara Weber.

“We jumped right on them and scored runs,” said Eisenhower coach Mike English. “They’re a good team. They run the bases like a much more mature team. They’re good winners, too. You don’t mind getting beat by a team that’s good winners. We’re playing much better and more confident, putting the ball in play. We’re getting there.”

Ike returns to action today, hosting Saegertown.
