WCCS sweeps Tidioute

Warren County Christian School picked up a three-game sweep of Tidioute on Monday, 25-16, 25-9, and 25-17.

Rachel Brenner finished with 14 service points, one ace, four kills and five digs; Kate Erdman had seven kills, six service points, one ace and five digs; Desirae Kerr had 13 assists, five service points, one ace, one block and one kill; Rebecca Piger had three service points and an ace; Emily Stowe had seven service points, three aces, one block and three kills; Allison Weidner had five kills, six service points, three aces and one block; and Kelsey Kelley had seven service points, four aces and eight digs.

“For the most part they looked really good,” said WCCS coach Monica Kerr. “There were a couple times in the first and third games that we got a little sloppy, but in the second set they played very controlled ball. Every game I’m seeing a lot of improvement.”

The Lady Lions also won the junior varsity match in a sweep, 28-26 and 25-14. Rebekah Erdman finished with 10 assists, nine service points, five aces and one kill; Lydia Cox had seven service points, one ace and two kills; Ellie Beatty had six service points, one ace and one kill; and Emma and Allie Marino finished with identical lines of five service points, one ace, one block and three kills.
