Betts Industries, Inc. was awarded the Governor's Export Impact Award on May 30 at the annual Governor's ImPAct Awards ceremony in Hershey.
Cliff Betts, President of Betts Industries, Inc., said accepted the award on behalf of all Betts Industries employees adding, "Awards of this significance are made possible through the dedicated efforts of our entire team."

Realizing that the international market held its greatest growth potential and by working with government agencies, Betts has continued to develop business relationships with prospect nations. Over the last two years, its international sales manager has completed trips to and mined prospects in Russia, Burkina Faso and Ghana, and new prospects also include companies in Peru, Thailand, Guatemala and El Salvador.
Betts Industries, Inc. has expanded sales activity in Columbia, Argentina, the United Arab Emirates and the U.K. Currently, Betts' largest international markets are Canada and Mexico, whose proximity allows for similarity of products, free trade agreements and shipping ease.
Corbett recognized 50 outstanding Pennsylvania companies and entrepreneurs for creating jobs, developing ideas, reaching new markets and making positive contributions in local communities.
Betts Industries, Inc. has been in operation and a member of the Warren community since 1901.
