Criminal mischief. Warren-based state police report between the hours of 5 p.m. Nov. 8 and noon Nov. 9, someone damaged a Scandia Rd. mailbox owned by Michele Thomas by throwing a glass bottle at it. Damage is estimated at $30. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Warren-based state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.
DUI. Warren-based state police report on Nov. 6 at 2:30 p.m., Timothy Mullen, 23 was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop at the intersection of Rt. 59 and Brown Run. According to police, after Mullen was arrested, he was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. Police charged Mullen with possession of marijuana, DUI, and other traffic violations.
Bad checks. Warren-based state police report on Oct. 1, Kimberly Lawson, 44, of Garland, issued a bad check to Cynthia Shield, of Russell, for rent payment, which was returned for insufficient funds.
Crash. Warren-based state police report on Nov. 11 at 6:35 a.m., Diane Hajec, 53, of Pittsfield, was traveling east on Rte. 27 when a deer entered the east bound lane. Hajec's vehicle struck the deer causing disabling damage to the vehicle. The vehicle was towed from the scene and no injuries were reported.
