OIL CITY-The Lady Bulldogs dropped their second straight volleyball match on Wednesday night, falling to 2-8 with a three set loss at Venango Catholic. Tidioute got down early, losing the first set 16-25, and playing a close 23-25 set before losing 10-25 in the third.
"We were a lot better with our movement on the court tonight," said Tidioute coach Margie Manning. "Our communication was still a downfall, and service errors are killing us. Overall, we had much better team play, though."
Anna Lindemuth had eight kills, two blocks, and four digs for the Lady Bulldogs, Emalei Schaberl had two kills and four aces, Hanna Divido had one ace and five digs, and freshman Nettie Durstine had "her best game of the season," according to Manning with two kills, four digs, and three blocks.
Tidioute lost the junior varsity contest two games to one, 19-25, 25-15, and 23-25. Desi McChesney had seven aces, Corinn Pastor had six assists, and Alexis Harlow had two kills.
The Lady Bulldogs will look to end their losing skid on Friday, when they host East Forest on Parents Night at Tidioute Community Charter School.
