Aaron Hoover, Caleb Linkerhof, and Brandon Cochran combined to throw a one-hit shutout as Youngsville Post 658 cruised to a 17-0 Senior American Legion win over Tidioute on Monday at Davis Street Field in Youngsville.
Kyle Hunt started the scoring for Post 658 in the first inning with a two-RBI single that brought in Hoover and Cory Craig. Hunt would come around to score on a Ryan Williams single, making it a 3-0 advantage in favor of Youngsville.
A sacrifice fly from Craig and another RBI single from Hunt widened the gap in the second, and the Post 658 offense exploded for eight runs in the third inning and four more in the fourth while Tidioute struggled to find baserunners.

Corry 7, Blair 3
Corry Savings Bank scored three times in the third inning, jumping ahead for good during a 7-3 victory over Blair Corporation in Senior American Legion Baseball League play, Monday, at The Ballpark at Columbus.
The two teams traded runs in the first inning with Blair scoring first on an RBI double from Ed Ord that brought home Collin Fantaskey. Fantaskey had led off the inning with a single. The Bankers would tie the game in the bottom of the first.

For the remainder of the game, Corry pitcher Joe Sonntag was able to limit the damage done by the Blair bats.
In the fifth inning, John White led off with a walk and eventually scored when a ball put into play by Tanner Teconchuk was misplayed for an error. White's run closed out the scoring at 7-3.
