Warren Concert Association will continue its season with "The Great American Songbook" at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Struthers Library Theatre in downtown Warren. A talented troupe of eight singers and dancers and a sizzling jazz trio will serve up selections from a century of American music history. Concertgoers will be taken to a 1940s-style "live radio show." They'll take a look back at the talent of the 50s, and will be treated to a salute to the best of Motown.
Other musical destinations include New York, Las Vegas, Memphis, Kansas City and Frankie Valli's New Jersey. Theater favorites, contemporary hits, and 60s folk music will be performed prior to a rousing and heart-warming patriotic finale.
The creative sets, colorful costumes, and clever choreography of "The Great American Songbook" make this a show with something for the entire family. Single admission tickets can be reserved in advance by calling 723-6505 and tickets will also be available at the door, beginning at 6.45 p.m. on the evening of the concert.
