December 9, 2013

YORK, Pa. (AP) — Police say an active-duty Army soldier was one of four men who entered a central Pennsylvania home, bound two teenagers and stole rifles, other weapons and ammunition.

Northern York County Regional Police said Monday that 23-year-old Rico Holmes III is facing numerous charges stemming from the robbery in Franklin Township.

Police said the teens contacted authorities around 1 a.m. Sunday and said four men with guns and baseball bats entered their home and bound them with duct tape.

One of the boys recognized one of the assailants as a man named Rico who attended a party there two weeks earlier.

Investigators identified "Rico" as Holmes, who is stationed at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md.

He's being held by Naval Criminal Investigative Services pending extradition to Pennsylvania.
