Dear editor: I would like to be able to say that I was shocked by the headlines of March 27 regarding “A Plastic Problem” but I really was not....

I think if you will check PA law, you will find that the DA is the head law enforcement officer in the county charged with investigating and bringing charges on all crimes in the county. Maybe we need a new DA.

Number 1 thing is the crime needs to be reported to the policw by the victim aka WCSD. Since the WCSD opted to receive reimburstment and not do anything. That's it. Regarding moving expences that is a contract matter and if they cannot convince him to pay it back then it is a cicil matter.

Doesn't the DA have investigators assigned to his office? Looks like he could tell them to get to the bottom of this.

Rocky top, I called the DA's office. They learned everything the day it rolled out in the paper. Our board has taken steps to try to keep this off the books. They tried.... Lol. Anyway, the DA's office said that charges do not come from them. Charges have to first come from state or local police and they proceed from there.

Lol....the cyber stalkers aka certain wcsd directors have already checked the WTO blogs and I'm sure they are going through the Facebook pages now. Oh what a wonderful life it must be to always be so afraid that you go to such measures to control people.

Appears the problem lies with the DA's office. The school board doesn't charge anyone with a crime. I would have to think the DA knew about the credit card use before the super was allowed to just pay it back. It's his job to investigate and bring charges. If he had or does the ex super would most likely go to trial, be required to reimbuse the school board, get 6 months probation, and a new career as a used car salesman.

Space Lady, more than 1 person has requested his moving expenses and know about the propane. He bought enough to supply the camp for far longer than he lived there. However it was considered an utility expense. Reread his moving expenses, there are more questions to be asked....

Really? 6 people disagreed with me that filing a right to know is free and easy? Hmmm...interesting being that I've filed several. I'm betting the disagrees are administration or board members hoping to keep their "secrets" , it was a rtk request that snowballed the events that led to everything coming out in the paper recently. Its all about what you ask for. Its public information about your tax dollars!

If you really want to see some dirt, pull the rug back a little further and look at the way contracts are awarded.

WTO filed the FOI request to get the casino credit card use information that they reported. Do you believe the public would know about that if they hadn't? They also were filing FOI requests regarding the GROWarren fiasco. I say they are investigating.

It's the Warren way of doing things. Act as if nothing is wrong until it blows up in your face. Just look at the whole Gro Warren mess, same type of situation.

Employees at the district have been speaking up for years! I was one of them! Nobody cared to listen or we were told we didn't know everything or worse if we were found to be "telling secrets" then we were bullied, ignored or watched like we were some kind of thief. The stories go way beyond what anyone could imagine. There are people there now that are so afraid of losing their job that they remain silent although it is killing them. As for the super's moving expenses..they were not moving expenses it was more like a slush fund. Who purchases propane and calls it a moving expense??? What school board in their right mind approves that??? I bet there are some powers that be right now trying to figure out who I am...LOL..I'd be a fool to think the WTO didn't assist with that all I can say is "How do you like me know?"... not so "incapable" (hey, that's a hint) after all!

I think the whole administration should be gotten rid of and a new one put in.

Brandon, our board, our administration, and our district has been reported to several state entities. They look like a band of corrupt fools. This time they may learn the lesson that transparency is best, we will see. It is their lies and deceit to cover up others shortcomings that is going to get them in trouble.

It is easy and free to file a right to know request for the information, if you know of something illegal, file one or have someone you know do it and then take it to the proper people depending on what its related too. We have two different generals, the state police, the PA ethics commission, PDE,etc.

omg, I am all for exposing the districts secrets but get off of the fact that norbert lives in edinboro. The district does not require residency. I don't think they can. Emergency services such as fire and police can because they are emergency services. I don't think it is right that he makes money from our taxes but yet has no stake in our taxes but at the end of the day, its not illegal that he lives in edinboro. Now if he has committed a crime, then expose him. If you work for the district, give the information to someone else who will expose him. There are people who are willing to do that. Our district has far more problems than someones residency.

Here's the way it works. Tax-payers cough up the extortion money, the gov't takes it and does as it pleases. No real oversight. GAO guilty of extravagant junkets. Some gov't employees are honest, MANY are not. "Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely." Get caught with your hand in the cookie jar and most of the time your buddies can "fix" things. Rarely does any guilty one ever pay. Thank God we have a Chief Executive with "the most transparent administration in history." To quote Sherman Potter, "Horse-hockey."

Miss Miles, I agree with you but the supers little mistakes are not the only things that should be looked into, there are and have been "things" going on in this district for a while that the public knows nothing about, the people who work here can say things but are not listened to. My question is what else is under that rug? one question I have is why are we paying big bucks to a guy who does not even live in warn county? (edinboro) plus he is getting 1500 more because he is doing more, REALLY!!!!!! If this was a teacher or a support staff that did this would the same happen would they be allowed to leave on their own terms. I have tried asking the board but they won't answer the phone.
