I am writing to provide clarification for your July 6th front page article titled “Gold Rush”. The gold colored polyurethane track pads pictured on the excavator were indeed produced locally. They were designed and manufactured by many of our 280 expert teammates at Superior Tire & Rubber Corp. – a locally owned and managed company operating under the ISO:9001 Quality Standard. The Volvo/Discovery Channel project was undertaken by Superior Tire’s Construction Business Unit – one of multiple business units headquartered in Warren.
