Bricks and mortar

Editor:

Thank you Joe Colosimo. It is refreshing to see a person on the school who wants to stop the bricks and mortar and pay more attention to the needs of the students and teachers.

School board members talked about the five-year plan. What about the ten-year plan? At the rate student enrollment is dropping, not one of these high schools will be functioning at capacity in 10 years. Two of the schools will lose all their sports programs due to lack of participation. Other programs will be cut for the same reason. School spirit will erode and morale will drop.

Even with this continuing drop in enrollment, some school board members will want to keep these schools open for their own selfish reasons.
