Judith “Judy” Ann Wolfgang

Judith “Judy” Ann Wolfgang, 77, of Warren, PA, passed away at her residence on December 1st, 2025, following an extended illness. She was born April 5th, 1948 in Oil City, PA, to the late Ellsworth and Mabel (Keefer) Wolfgang. After graduating high school in 1966, Judy followed the lead of her older siblings and moved to Warren where she worked at a variety of jobs, eventually obtaining her R.N. in 1983. As a nurses’ aide and R.N., Judy was employed by Kinzua Care, Warren State Hospital, Warren General Hospital, Warren Manor and The Warren/Forest Area Agency on Aging, before retiring from The Rouse Home.

Outside of work, Judy had a large variety of interests. She appreciated nature, specifically the Kinzua Dam and the Allegheny National Forest. Judy enjoyed gardening and home maintenance. A life-long artist, Judy’s main pursuits were drawing, painting and needlework. She was also an avid reader, consuming both print and audiobooks.

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her siblings: Madeline “Pat” Stevenson, Albert “Bub” Wolfgang, Shirley “Jean” Swab, Dorothy Sabat, Barbara Brown, Larry Wolfgang, and Thomas Wolfgang. She is survived by nephew Gregory Swab Sr. (Cheri), whom she helped to raise, his daughter, Kayla Swab, who served as Judy’s primary caregiver, and his son, Gregory Swab Jr. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and feline companion, Elsa “Tiny”.

A special note of thanks is extended to niece Jeanna Phelps, Carrie Wolfgang, Kathleen McDunn, Melissa Shene, and nurse Amy Jones Rice for their efforts and assistance in caring for Judy during her illness. Serving as honorary pall bearers are: Jesse Wolfgang, Lucas Wolfgang, Gregory Swab Jr., Cordell Harris, Stephen Phelps, and David Nosek.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the JCC Nursing Program or to Paws Along the River, 212 Elm Street, Warren PA.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penna. Ave E, Warren, PA, 16365. Friends and family will be received on Saturday, December 13, from 11am-12pm, with a memorial service to follow at 12pm with Pastor Jeff York, officiating. A luncheon will follow the memorial service.
