John A. Hammersley

Born on Jan. 18, 1954 in St. Marys, PA, he was the son of the late Earl J. and Mary Lou (Moore) Hammersley.

John enjoyed all sports, and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He loved solving word search puzzles, enjoyed watching birds, and sitting outside listening to the radio. John was a faithful member of the Union City Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry (McCauley) Hammersley; his daughters, Stephanie Williams (Jesse) and Lacey Zazado (Art); his brother, David Hammersley; his grandchildren, Kayden Williams, Noah Williams, and Nathan Williams, Lynnanne Hammersley, Hailey Peterson, Tanner Zazado and Hunter Zazado, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Louise Castillo.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
