Paul Morgan
KANE — Paul Morgan, 90, of Edgar James St. passed away Wednesday evening (Oct. 2) in the Lutheran Home at Kane. Born April 26, 1934 in Kane, he is the son of the late Martha (Whippo) Dahl. From the age of five he was raised by his grandmother, Ida Whippo. On June 6, 1959 in Kane, he married Nancy Oakes, who survives.
Paul served in the 101st Airborne with the U.S. Army. He worked for the U.S. Forestry for most of his life, where he held many positions. He was also a life member of the Kane Elks Club 329 and was a past Exalted Ruler and a member of the F&AM Lodge 566.
Paul was a great husband and father who was loved by his family, friends and community.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Cheri (Troy Johnson) Morgan of Kane and Lisa (Rick) Rose of San Antonio, TX; two sons, Timothy (Tonya) Morgan of Tiona and Brett (Michelle) Morgan of Kane; six grandchildren, Bryan (Kayla) Morgan who he and his wife raised like their own child, as well as Cameron Holt, Austin (Ryan) Morgan, Colton (Hannah) Morgan, Jake (Kelly) Morgan and Kaycee Morgan; three sisters, Mary Phillips of Ashville, NC, Molly(Walter) Polinski, of Wilcox and Michelle (Mike) Pavlock of Johnsonburg; two brothers, John (Bernice) Morgan and Robert Morgan both of Wilcox and a half brother, Henry (Barb) Dahl of Warren; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Martha Bedford and Maureen Carlson and her husband Art and a grandson Zachery Malobicky.
Funeral services will be held at a later date and will be announced.
