Marian Louise Rulander

Marian Louise Rulander, 84, of Warren, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021, at Kinzua Healthcare and Rehabilitation.

Mary was born June 14, 1936, in Warren, the daughter of the late S. Burton and Bernice (Frederick) Cable. A lifelong area resident, she was a 1954 graduate of Warren High School. Mary was employed with Bell Telephone, and later with New Process from which she retired. She was a member of the Scandia Covenant Church. Mary enjoyed gardening, traveling, and especially enjoyed time in her gazebo and with her family and friends.

Mary is survived by her husband, Curtis O. Ru-lander, whom she married on March 12, 1955, at the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Warren, PA; her children. Jeffrey Rulander and wife Melody of Scandia, Randy Rulander and wife Darla of Warren, Susan Middleton and companion Ken Prettyman of Scandia, John Ru-lander and wife Wendy of Warren, and Scott Rulander of Sandpoint, Idaho; her sisters, Anna Mae Anderson of Warren, Donna Ristau of Warren, and Nancy Ristau of Warren; eleven grandchildren, Jeffrey and Jeremy Rulander, Tia and Jack Rulander, Shyann Ru-lander, Nicole Davis, Ash-ley Davis, Nathan Davis, Rob Middleton, Andy Pret-tyman, and Sam Prettyman; thirteen great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her childhood friend Margaret “Cutsie” Sorenson.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia (Rulander) Davis; her sister Catherine McIntyre, and brothers, Robert and Paul Cable.

Friends will be received on Sunday, April 18, at the Scandia Fire Hall from noon to 1 p.m. Memorial service starting at 1 p.m., with the Rev. James Swan-son officiating. A private burial will take place at Davey Hill Cemetery.
