Joanne Marie (Stilwell) Slater

She was born July 25, 1941, in Warren, Pa. Joanne was the daughter of Maurice and Clara (Ertola) Stilwell. She was a 1959 graduate of Warren High School. She has been a resident of Michigan since 1962.

Joanne was a member of St. Mary’s Queen of Creation Roman Catholic Church, New Baltimore, Mich. and formerly of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Warren, Pa., and was preceded in death by her husband, Louis G. Slater. Joanne was known as a kind and generous per-son by those who knew her, she will be missed by family and friends.

Joanne is survived by her four children: Thomas G. Slater and wife, Jeerawan Slater of Butler, Pa., Chris-tine Romano and husband, Sabino Romano Jr. of Annandale, Va., Louis J. Slater and wife, Pamela M. Slater of Canton, Mich., and David Slater of Chester-field, Mich.; one brother, Thomas Stilwell and wife, Carol Lee of Warren, Pa.; eight grandchildren: Samantha Romano, Alexandra Romano, Christina Romano, Sabrina Romano, Jackson Slater, Benjamin Slater, Melanie Slater and Thomas “Jerry” Slater Jr.

Family and friends will be received at Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East St,, Warren, Pa., on Friday, Nov. 27, 2020, from 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Saturday, Nov; 28, 2020, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 600 Pennsylvania Avenue West, Warren, Pa., at 10 a.m. with Father Richard C. Tomasone, pastor, officiating. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum of the Resurrection in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Cemetery.
