Genevieve Lucille Silvis

Genevieve Lucille Silvis, 87, of E. Main St., Corry, Pa. died October 2, 2020 at her residence.

She was born May 15, 1933 in Lander, Pa. a daughter of the late Walter and Irene Anderson Carlson.

Genevieve was raised in Lander, Pa. and as a child she would walk to Putmanville, Pa. to church. Following graduation from Lander High School she was employed at Betty Lee’s, Warren County Forestry Department and she also sold Dutchmaid Clothing. God was always present in her life. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Warren, Pa., later she became a member of the Corry Alliance Church.

In addition to her parents, Genevieve was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Burch and a sister, Virginia Roberts.

Genevieve is survived by her husband, Edia Silvis whom she married on Nov. 12, 2005 in Warren, Pa., three daughters, Sandy Darts and her husband Bob of Russell, Pa. and Leanne Frazier and her husband Rob also of Russell, Pa. and Vicki Renwick and her husband Burt of Warren, Pa.; a son, Scott Burch and his wife Melanie of Chesapeake, Va.; three step-children, Martha Downey of Corry, Pa., James Silvis of Fruitland Park, Fla. and Priscilla Goff of Crestview, Fla.

Also surviving are five grandchildren, Larry Faul (Morgan), Jacob Faul, Ryan Faul, Rachel Greene (Devin), Carson Burch; two step-grandchildren, Melissa Hodges, Christoper Hodges; and several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Corry Alliance Church, 721 Hatch St., Corry Pa. on Tuesday from 10 until the time of the funeral service there at 11 am. Rev. James Moffett will officiate.

Due to CDC requirements, face mask and social distancing will be required.

Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Russell, Pa.
