Randy S. Hert

Randy was born Dec. 1, 1962, in Hialeah, Fla., to the late Charles E. Hert and Nedra (Mathis) Hert, who survives.

He was a 1981 graduate of Amherst High School, in Virginia. Randy worked at United Refining as a utility repairman for 31 years, returning after a serious injury. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.

Randy enjoyed his home, fishing on Lake Erie, and going to the Casino. He adored his nieces and nephews and his canine companion, Chipper.

In addition to his mother, Randy is survived by his siblings;: Doug (Karen) Hert of Scandia, Pa. and Terri (David) Ludwig of Warren, Pa.; his nieces and nephews: Amber, Ashley, Cody, Bradley and Marcus; along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends will be received from 3-5 p.m., on Monday, June 15, 2020, at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E. Warren, PA 16365, a funeral service to follow at 5 p.m., with the Rev. James Swanson, pastor of Pleasant Community Church, officiating. Following the funeral service, everyone is invited to Doug and Karen’s house on 82 Coalbed Road in Scandia.

A private burial will be held at Scandia Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, it has been requested that memorial donations be made to the American Burn Association, 311 S. Wacker Drive Suite 4150 Chicago, IL 60606-6671.
