John I. Christensen, Jr.

Bink was born June 13, 1936, in Warren, Pa. He was the son of the late John Ivan and Katherine Scobey Christensen, Sr.

Bink was a life-long Warren and Russell area resident. He graduated in 1953 from North Area High School and served with the U.S. Army military police. He was employed with the former National Forge Company in the melt house for 13 years and also worked at Norton Bat Mill in Akeley, Pa.

He was a member of the Russell United Methodist Church, Pine Grove Lions Club, American Legion, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carol Bailey Christensen, whom he married June 16, 1961 in Russell, Pa.; five children: Eric “Rick” Christensen (Heidi) of N. Warren, Pa., Jill Christensen and companion, Jeff Anderson of Pleasant Twp., Amy (David) Casbohm of Conneautville, Pa., Jerry (Cindy) Christensen of Scandia, Pa., and Tom Christensen (Stephanie) of Morgantown, WVa.; brother, Gary Christensen of Frewsburg, N.Y.; sister, Nancy Christensen; seven grand- children: David, Jacob, Daniel, Heather Christensen, Damon Anderson, Alexi and Sophia Christensen; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home Inc., 304 East St., Warren, Pa., on Thursday, June 18, 2020, from noon until 1p.m., at which time a funeral and committal service will be held with the Rev. Jerome Kennedy, pastor of Russell United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
