Janet Elmquist

Janet was born Sept, 22, 1934, in Kane, Pa. She was the daughter of the late Elmer and Thelma Slack.

Janet was a lifelong Sheffield resident and a 1952 graduate of Sheffield High School. She was employed as a payroll clerk at the PGE Company for 20-plus years. Janet was an avid shopper and her family was the most treasured in her life.

Janet is survived by five sons: Jim Elmquist of Cherry Grove, Pa., John Elmquist and his partner, Denise Hall of Warren, Pa., Walter Elmquist and wife, Linda of Sheffield, Pa., Scott Elmquist and wife, Dana of Richmond, Va., and Patrick Elmquist and wife, Amy of Ludlow, Pa.; six grandchildrem: Ty, Geddy, Dana, Walter, Sheay Elmquist and Janelle Johnson; two great-grandchildren: Maya and Isaac and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Elmquist; and brother, Elmer “Corky” Slack Jr.

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home Inc., 304 East St,, Warren, Pa. on Monday, June 15, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where a funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Jeffrey Ewing, pastor of First Lutheran Church, Officiating. Interment will be in Sheffield Cemetery, Sheffield, Pa.
