Robert Lord

Robert Parker Lord of Jamestown, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord peacefully on May 18, 2020 surrounded by his beloved wife Heather, daughter Jeannie, Granddaughter Catherine and brother-in- law James by his side. Robert was born in Meadville, Pennsylvania on June 6, 1942. He served in the United States Army. He loved his country, and was very patriotic. He was also an Ohio State Patrolman. He worked as a landscaper in Hawaii. His final career was a tool and die maker before he retired in 2002. He was very involved in the pro-life movement and was part of Operation Rescue as well as the head of the local Christians Concerned for the Sanctity of Life and Lifers groups in Warren, Pennsylvania. He served on the school board in Pennsylvania. He also led the local chapter of the Pennsylvania Gun Owners Association. Bob loved to make people laugh and had a wonderful, dry sense of humor. His wife said that he made her laugh every day of their marriage of almost 23 years. He loved animals and was very kind and affectionate with his cats and dogs. They all loved him, and are feeling the loss of him deeply.

Robert loved his family dearly, and they were very special to him. He is survived by his best friend and beloved wife Heather (he called her his favorite every day), daughters Jeannie Mangin and BobbiJo Lord and son James Lord as well as grandson Clay Mangin and granddaughters Catherine Mangin, Jacquelyn (Charles) Gomes, Madalyn (Derek) Hilbolt, Anne Marie Raver and great granddaughter Julianna Raver, daughter of Jacquelyn Gomes. He was preceded in death by his father Raymond Lord, mother Marian Jeanne Lord and brother-in-law and sister Jim and Sharron Rose.

Jennings Funeral Home in Jamestown, Tenn., is handling the arrangements. Memorial services will be held in both Tennessee and Pennsylvania at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Save the Storks, who provide free ultrasounds to expectant mothers (https://savethestorks. com/donate/ or call (866) 639-0479) or to a local animal shelter in Bob’s honor.
