Charles W. Johnson "Chuck"

Charles W. Johnson “Chuck” of Lexington, S.C., formerly of Warren, Pa., passed away Wednesday May 20, 2020, at the age of 68.

Chuck was born June 27, 1951, in Warren, Pa., to Eleanor (Erickson) Johnson and the Late Raymond Johnson. He lived most of his adult life in the south. He lived in Maiden, N.C., Greenville, S.C., and most recently Lexington, S.C. He loved being in the south and living the laid back southern life style which defined him. His hobby’s included watching and cheering for the Carolina Panthers and panning for gold swearing he’d “Strike it rich someday!”

He returned home from North Carolina to Warren, in 2012 after the death of his wife for a short while and worked at Ellwood National Forge before moving back south in 2016

Chuck was proceeded in death by his wife Linda (Williams) Johnson, whom he married on Aug. 4, 1975, and who passed away on April 20, 2011. His father, Raymond F. Johnson; a sister, Pamela Johnson; a nephew, David Drum; and several aunts, uncles and grandparents

Chuck is also survived by his mother, Eleanor Johnson of Warren Pa.; two wonderful stepchildren: Larry (Peter) Gibson of Maiden N.C., and Angela Penland of Greenville, S.C., whom he loved and raised as his own for 48 years of his life. A fiance, Mary Davis of Lexington, Ky.; a brother, James R. (Nette) Johnson of Port Charlotte, Fla.; sister, Kelly (Don) Wingard of Corry, Pa., an uncle, Harold Erckson of Nampa, Idaho; several nieces and nephews; four grandchildren: Taylor, Kayla, Ashley and Robbie; and 10 great-grandchildren.

At this time no service will be held. A remembrance of life will be held by family at a later date.
