Helen Woodcock

Helen G. Woodcock, 90, of Youngsville, joined our Creator on January 15, 2020.

Helen was born in Sparta Twp., to Ray and Grace Ehrhart on May 20, 1929. She married her sweetheart, Richard “Dick” Woodcock on New Year’s Eve in 1955 and had one son, Richard “Rick” who was their whole life. They loved living in their 5th wheel camper for the winters in Florida and summers at the Brokenstraw Campgrounds.

Helen worked at Star Manufacturing in Youngsville, Blair Corp. for over 20 years and at the Youngsville Greenhouse. She loved to work in her many flower beds and tend to the lawn. She had a green thumb and could make anything grow. She enjoyed canning, decorating for the holidays, and loved spoiling her grand puppy Bella.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents; husband in 2009; three brothers; Maurice, Frank, and Roy Ehrhart; five sisters; Elizabeth McElhaney, Lena Knieser, Ida Greer Ross, Alta Huff and Eloise Cook and two sisters in law; Mae (Clifford) Sutley and Glayds (Winton) Flaugh.

She is survived by her son, Richard (Missy) Woodcock; a grandson, Jeremy (Fiance Amy Singerman), a granddaughter, Jessica (Michael) Cradduck; two great-grandchildren, whom she adored and they lovingly reffered to as her as “Woo Woo”, Trae and Amaya Cradduck. She is also survived by one sister, Opal Smith, one brother in law, Glenn Cook and several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
