E. Viola Irwin

Viola was born on October 1, 1920, in Dahoga, PA, to the late Herman and Elin (Anderson) Peterson.

Viola was a member of the First Church of God and a former member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and especially enjoyed her many family and friends.

Viola is survived by her two children, Russell L. (Janice) Irwin and Shirley A. (Ronald) Simones, of Warren; 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Irwin, whom she married on April 30, 1946, in Ridgway, PA; her brother, Arthur Peterson; and her half-brothers, Harry and Elmer Grandlund.

Friends will be received from 58 pm on Sunday, September 22, 2019, at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penna. Ave. E. Warren, PA 16365, and for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held at 11 a.m. at the First Church of God, 1111 Madison Ave, Warren, PA 16365, Rev. Bill Hargenrader, pastor, officiating.
