George ‘Skip’ Boyer, Jr.

George E. (Skip) Boyer Jr., 65, of Townsend MA, formerly of Warren, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday morning, February 6, 2019, at Lowell General Hospital.

George was born in Warren, Pennsylvania, May 23, 1953, a son of George E. Sr. and Rachel (Brian) Boyer and grew up in Warren. He has resided in Townsend for thirty-five years.

For many years George owned and operated B & G Clock Repair in Townsend. He had previously worked as an engineer at Digital Equipment Corporation. As a child, he toured with the Pennsylvania Singing Boys Choir.

He leaves his wife of 13 years, Ginja (Mueller) Piper Boyer; a son, Brian Boyer and his wife, Lynn of Amherst, NH; a stepson, Michael Piper and his wife Jennifer of Townsend NH; a stepdaughter, Jaymie Piper of West Medford NH; a brother and sister in law, Fredrick and Sandy Boyer of St. Petersburg, FL; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Cathy and Dennis McDonald of Massillon OH, Debbie and Larry Newland of New Port Richey FL; five grandchildren, Richard Piper, Matthew Piper, Owen Boyer, Dylan Boyer and Greyson Boyer.

He was predeceased in 1999 by his daughter, Amy Boyer of Nashua, NH, his mother Rachel in 2001 and father George E. Sr. in 2016.

George enjoyed fishing, hunting and throwing horseshoes. Family and friends will be received at the First Lutheran Church, 109 W 3rd Ave, Warren Pa from 1011AM on Saturday, June 15, 2019, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11 AM and a luncheon at the church.
