Judith Loney

Judith P. Loney, 73, of Chandlers Valley, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019, at home.

Judith was born on July 22, 1946, in Indiana, Pa., to Parks and Blanche (Tonkin) Hall. She married her husband, William Loney on October 1, 1977, in Warren. Judith was an LPN at the Rouse Home and then worked in home health care. She also worked as a cook/waitress at the Pittsfield inn, Wayside and Edgewood restaurants in the Youngsville area. She served on the board of the Chandlers Valley Community Center, where she was instrumental in creating the Annual Chandlers Valley Easter Egg hunt, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Youngsville American Legion. Judith loved spending time with her many grandchildren and her farm animals.

Judith is survived by her husband, William, and her children, Vern (Mel) Edmisten, LeRoy(Leigh) Loney of Warren, Lenny Edmisten of Pittsburgh,, Denny Loney of Pittsburgh, Steve Loney of Warren, Jim Edmisten of Pittsfield, Dedra (Matt) Barnes of Florida, Tony (Carrie) Loney of Missouri, Billie Joe(Pat) Jameson of Chandlers Valley and John(Devon)Rodgers of Missouri; 2 sisters, Pat Swatzfager of Rochester, NY, and Shirley Rought of Smethport, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her fur baby Tucker.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son Doug Edmisten.

Friends may be received from 35 and 79 Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 314 North Main St in Youngsville, where an 11:00 am funeral service on Wednesday will also be held, with the Rev. Larry Condren officiating. Burial will follow at the Chandlers Valley Cemetery.
