Thomas Korn

He was born on September 22, 1938 in Erie, son of the late Albert and Coletta (DeHarde) Korn.

Tom was a graduate of Cathedral Prep; a devoted catholic, serving as an altar boy and continue practicing his religion throughout his life. He was a paperboy for the Times News delivering 250 papers daily. He worked as a young man at Continental Rubber Co. in the mailroom and as a salesman. He continued his work as an accomplish salesman traveling all over the world for Blackstone Corporation/Valeo in Sheffield, PA and Jamestown, NY and retired from Valeo as a manager. He was a member of the Warren Moose Lodge # 109.

He met his sweetheart, Mary Ann when they were 16, and their marriage at 21 years old, they had a great life together and where always there for each other. Tom had a great sense of humor.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Donald Korn and brother, Albert Korn, Jr.; sister Laura Schwenk and brother in law, Skip Schwenk.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (O’Keefe) Korn; brothers, Robert Korn and Jerome Korn and his wife, Virginia both of Phoenix, AZ; sisters, Sr. Colette Korn, OSB and Audrey Riazzi and her husband, Dennis both of Erie; nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38thStreet at Greengarden Boulevard on Friday, March 23rd from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a prayer service at the Funeral Home on Saturday, March 24th at 10:15 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Holy Family Church at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
